Anna Leigh Ashford
Annaleigh Amanda Ashford is an American actress singer and dancer. One of her first Broadway productions included Wicked Legally Blonde Hair. The play You Can't Take It With You in which she was awarded the Tony Award as Best Featured actor in a Play. Annaleigh Ashley is a Tony Award winning actor and actress has collaborated with directors, actors, and other performers in stage and on screen throughout all of her career. Ashford is scheduled to be in the role of Kumail Nanjiani, as Robert Siegel's Hulu exclusive Welcome to Chippendales. It will premiere on 22nd November. Ashford currently works in Searchlight Pictures' horror thriller Dust opposite Sarah Paulson, Ebon Moss Bachrach and Ebon Mosch Bachrach. As a Hulu Original, the film is available on Disney DTC's platform. Ashford will return in 2023 and will play opposite Josh Groban at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre to perform the revival of Stephensondheim's Sweeney Todd. The team behind Hamilton producer Jeffrey Seller and director Thomas Kail will be at the control of the show. Ashford played Paula Jones most recently in Ryan Murphy FX's American Crime Story Impeachment, which is based on the scandal which involved Paula Jones Monica Lewinsky Linda Tripp during the national crisis. The two-season run she had on the CBS show B Positive was her first big part. The series was created by Marco Pennette, Chuck Lorre and Linda Lavin. Also, it had Ben Vereen and Elizondo. Sunday in the Park starring George Wicked and Legally Blonde are amongst her additional Broadway credits. Ashford is a native of Denver. She was born and born in Denver, now spends time between Los Angeles and New York.
