Audrey Tautou in Beaumont Puy De Domme in France was born on the 9th August, 1976. Audrey is the eldest child of four. Audrey Tautou's parents who have a doctor for teeth and teacher in a school were supportive and encouraged by her early love for drama as well as theatre. Her initial dream of becoming a specialist in monkeys was surpassed by her desire to study theater and drama. She rose to prominence as a child actress quickly and with great achievement. After completing her education, she was selected to be a part of Jeunes Premiers an French television talent-scouting program that was sponsored by Canal+. There she won the award for Best Young Actress in the Beziers Festival of Young Actors. This led her to pursue a professional acting career. While she attended in the Institut Catholique de Paris and went to church as a child, Tautou has distanced herself from her religious upbringing and has stated that she's not Catholic. In addition to her acting work, she was also interested in modelling. She was the model in the commercials for L'Oreal Mont Blanc, Chanel and was dubbed "The Chanel Muse". She also has a serious photographic passion and has recently produced an exhibition of her work at the Arles Festival with the name Superficial. Photography of her is primarily focused on celebrity and fame, and focuses the camera on those who scrutinized her after her meteoric rise to stardom in the film Amelie as well as several self-portraits. Audrey Tautou's global recognition and popularity exploded after her role in the film as Amelie Poulain's lead actress in the film Le Fabuleux Destin d'Amelie Poulain. Amelie received international recognition due to its success at the box office. The film was also recognized in award ceremonies all over the world. It's also the biggest French language film ever on the US. The film's success brought Tautou into a wide range of roles, from British dramas as Dirty Pretty Things by Stephen Knight and Jean Pierre Jeunet to Hollywood's The Da Vinci Code with Tom Hanks.
